Oral Evaluation & Assessment

During a dental exam, the dentist or hygienist will clean your teeth and check for cavities and gum disease. The exam includes evaluating your risk of developing other oral problems and checking your face, neck and mouth for abnormalities. A dental exam might also include dental X-rays (radiographs) or other diagnostic procedures.

Teeth Cleaning & fluoride treatment

Teeth cleaning is a procedure for the removal of plaque that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach in routine toothbrushing. Fluoride treatment will be performed in the form of a highly concentrated rinse, foam, gel, or varnish. The treatment may be applied with a swab, brush, tray, or mouthwash.

Sealants

Dental sealant is a thin, protective coating (made from plastic or other dental materials) that adheres to the chewing surface of your back teeth. They’re no substitute for brushing and flossing, but they can keep cavities from forming and may even stop early stages of decay from becoming a full-blown cavity.
